BUT … who you outsource to is key to making it work, especially when you’re outsourcing the social media management of your brand.
Here are some things to consider:
1 – Is your source an expert? Do they have the full knowledge necessary to do what you’re hiring them to do?
2 – Does he or she know enough about you, your business and your brand to represent you appropriately? Do you mesh?
3 – Is your social media manager easy to work with? They should make your life easier … anything less is unacceptable.
4 – Does your social media expert stay on top of new trends, rules and changes in the industry? The social web is constantly changing, and you want someone who keeps up.
5 – Do you trust this person enough to put your business’s web reputation in his or her hands?
Putting your business in the hands of a social media expert is like taking your car to a mechanic. They must know what they’re doing. Their skills should be applicable to your particular business/car. They must stay attuned to advances in their industry. And you must be able to trust them.
If you can’t answer “yes” to each of these questions, then perhaps you haven’t found the right source for your social media outsourcing. Keep looking and don’t settle for anything less.
Your business … you … deserve only the best.
